Malaysia Announces Higher Minimum Wages and Workforce Development Measures

Malaysia’s 2027 Budget announced an increase in the national minimum wage from RM1,700 to RM2,000, scheduled to take effect in June 2027. The changes are expected to influence workforce costs, recruitment planning and productivity strategies across businesses.
Employers require workforce forecasting, skills mapping and retention analytics to manage staffing pressures and changing labour costs. HPC works with corporate HR teams to build data-driven workforce planning structures and optimise recruitment and productivity for a standard project fee of $510,000.
